Changing daylight savings time – a good summary

Listen to a BBC radio programme analysing the arguments for and against changing the UKs time to adopt Central European Time. The proposals gaining momentum would result in it getting light later in the morning in winter, but would give us more light into the evening.

It is argued that the change would have significant health and environmental benefits by increasing the time we can spend outside and reducing the energy need during the lighter winter evenings. Farmers are opposed to a change because they get up early and want it to be light in the mornings, but for the rest of us, it seems to make sense…
