Figueira De Foz

by Adrian on September 17, 2010

After an evening off yesterday in Nazaré we set off early this morning on a short hop up the coast to Figuera De Foz.

We’re looking very closely at the weather now looking at the best time to start the Biscay crossing. The first obstacle is Cape Finisterre, which blows predominantly north east as any wind is funnelled around the cape. For the past few days this had been very windy, ie we’d be unable to sail and it would be very difficult to motor into.

In a couple of days the forecasts say it will calm down, which will help!

Anyway, having a coke at a little café near the marina at the moment (so we can get their Wifi code for when back at the boat)
