We've spent the past 3 days in Dubrovnik generally relaxing and doing some sightseeing. The marina has fantastic facilities, including a large infinity pool, tennis courts, excellent supermarket, bars, chandelery etc. It costs about €50 per night but is very organised and very clean. It is situated up river from the city in an large river inlet surrounded by high sided mountains and small villages. There are regular busses into the centre, but its only about 1/2 hours bike ride, which is fine.

Dubrovnik old town is truly spectacular, with such history. We went in yesterday to look around and did the 5km walk around the walls. Despite having been shelled heavily in 1991, it is mostly restored to former glory and is a thriving tourist destination.
