Cruise to Elba

by Adrian on June 9, 2007

Since the weather is still giving us little of no wind (but with beautiful sunshine instead) we've decided to push on up the Corsican coast and across to the small (10×5 miles) island of Elba, just off the Italian mainland. Early start, for the 13+ hour, 80 mile trip, which apart for an hour at the end of the day was non stop motoring. Bit dull, but thats the way it goes sometimes. Burn our way through 1/4 tank of fuel also. Met a few big ships on the way that gave us something to do and allowed us to go through a few of the rules of the road with Tony.

Arrived at anchorage in Golfo Stella, at 2100, so not much time for planned bbq, so instead had a quick bit of food then settled down for night.
