Volendam Marina and meeting old friends

by Adrian 26th May 2012 - Holland

Our first night at anchor in Vagaris was peaceful and secure. It is nice to know the Spade anchor we sourced and insisted on fitting digs in and holds well.

With flights booked for the following night, we spent the next day being tourists in Amsterdam. I visited a Superyacht and trade marine electronics show that happenned to be on at the time (!) whilst Jacqui did a bit of shopping around the city.

We left the UK 6am Sunday morning 4 days ago on a rather special delivery trip – delivering our boat Vagari to Holland with its new owner. With only 9 hours winter daylight per day and an unknown crew of the new owner and one friend we planned short hops to Dover, across the channel to Dunkirk and then Belgium and Holland.
