Boat Equipment List

by Adrian 11th Sep 2015 - details

This is the start of a complete boat equipment list and inventory.

I’ll tidy it up later, but I think this captures most of the equipment onboard. Needless to say Vagaris is probably one of the best equipped Allures yachts out there.

This equipment list is in addition to the standard factory setup. Support for major items (water maker sea cocks, generator fittings etc) was pre-installed by the factory.

Up the mast again…

by Adrian 26th Mar 2015 - Caribbean

At long last we’ve reached the Bahamas and I’ve been able to head up the mast to take the photos I’ve been waiting for.

To make it even better we met another Allures 45 in the Turks and Caicos heading our way so have been sailing with them for the last few days.

This photo was taken with the GoPro whilst anchored in 2m of water just off the northern coast or West Caicos.

Engage overdrive…

by Adrian 31st Jan 2015 - Caribbean

We’re heading west for the first time in 3 months as we cross from Antigu to St Kitts. It’s a calm day here in the Caribbean with just 5 knots of wind behind us so we’ve engaged the iron sail and are motoring along steadily at 7 knots.

Yachting Monthly review

by Adrian 15th Oct 2012 - details

Towards Brighton

by Adrian 26th Sep 2012 - details

We had a cracking sail today on the way back from Portsmouth towards Brighton.

Squally rain and winds all day made for frequent genny reefing and unreefing.

Averaging over 7 knots through the water and 8-9 knots over the ground at 40-50° apparent in 15-22 knots of true wind. 1 reef in the main and one occasional turn around the genoa.

by Adrian 16th Sep 2012 - details

We’re currently at the Southampton boat show in the marina area on stand M267. It’s a fantastic experience and we’re meeting plenty of very interesting people, exchanging plans, swapping tips and talking boats.

If you’ve met us, leave us a message to say hi, remind us of your plans and keep in touch.

If you were impressed with the Allures blue water yacht, drop me a line if you have any more questions.
